Our comprehensive program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework for Australia, “Belonging, Being and Becoming”. Our educators experience and our environment encourages children to participate and develop many new skills to help them work toward these five outcomes to prepare them for school.
The five learning outcomes set by the curriculum that we strive to meet are:
• Children have a strong sense of identity
• Children are connected with and contribute to their world
• Children have a strong sense of wellbeing
• Children are confident and involved learners
• Children are effective communicators
Our goal at Little Joey’s is to provide a stimulating educational program that will optimize, enrich and enhance each child’s learning development. We achieve this by observing the children’s skills and abilities and gather information about their interests and needs to plan appropriate activities that include key areas such as socialization, early mathematical skills and concepts, language and literacy, creative freedom, fine and gross motor, cognitive skills and dramatic play.
Our Educators are dedicated, genuine and responsive to each child to ensure that they feel secure, valued and respected as an individual within a happy, safe and nurturing environment.
Little Joey’s has been assessed and rated by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority as EXCEEDING the National Standards in our Programming and Practice.
